Some visitors note that the peak times can lead to a crowded and bustling environment, particularly on Wednesday nights during karaoke events. While this adds energy, it can also mean longer waits for food and drink. Limited vegetarian options on the menu has been mentioned by a few guests, who hope to see more variety in this area. Parking can be challenging during busy periods, though ample free street parking is available nearby. The exterior design, while cozy, could use a facelift to draw in more foot traffic from passersby.
First time visiting this place, as we’re interested in moving to the area. The landlord was fantastic and very welcoming, as were the locals. The place is beautiful and clean, and the food was delicious, we had the carvery and everything was tasty and a ‘proper’ Sunday lunch. The parsnips stole the show for me, as they were quite possibly the best I’ve ever tasted! The landlord went above and beyond to make us feel like regulars, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place. We will definitely be back! The atmosphere was brilliant and has definitely made our minds up about wanting to relocate there, even though we don’t normally go to the pub, this will become our local!
We have just finished an absolutely great meal. The food selection is what I'd describe as a 'pub classic'; the menu is varied and quantity is plentiful. The staff are very friendly and there are plenty of places to park. The pub is ideal for couples, families and large groups. In summary, we will be back!
Fabulous family pub with a lovely play area for the kiddies and beer garden. Landlord is an absolute delight and his staff are fantastic. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the food is great value for money. Will be returning often 5✨️
